GM Announces Canadian Pricing for CTS-V & ATS-V

By Robert Nichols

Summer is almost here and as promised Cadillac will be releasing the new V-series cars on the general public. Canadian dealers will now take orders for the immensely powerful 2016 CTS-V sedan.

The new model uses a supercharged 6.2L V-8 tied to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This combination provides a top speed of 320 km/h and a run from 0 – 96 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, thanks to the 640 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque developed by the engine.

The CTS-V launches late this summer and has a base price of $91,685 not to mention a freight charge of an additional $1,800.

The other high performance Cadillac, the smaller ATS-V coupe, is ready to launch early this summer.

The ATS-V uses a twin-turbo 3.6L V-6 that produces a healthy 464 hp and will rocket the delighted occupants from a standstill to 96 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The best part, it will do so for only $65,750(base), plus the obligatory delivery fee of $1,800.

This summer promises to be an exciting one, especially with the release of these two power houses.
