The Colour Green Gaining In Popularity For Car Buyers

The types of colours available to choose from on new cars can be a make or break decision for some people, and these days, that’s especially true if green is not available as an option.

BASF has just released its finding on popular car colour choices and green, a colour once almost completed forgotten about, is steadily climbing the list.

Traditionally silver, white and black have all shared the top spot over the past decade. So why is green the new black?

“With new technologies, new models and new mobility concepts, a shift in values is on the horizon. In this context, green as the colour of growth and a new beginning is playing a key role,” said Mark Gutjahr, BASF’s head of European design.

Gutjahr also mentioned that green “stands for new values such as straightforwardness, responsibility and individuality.”

What do you think? Would you buy a green car? Personally, the only green appealing to me is British racing green. But even then it would have to be on a Jag only.
