Alfa Romeo Readying North American Bound Sedan

By Katie Crowell

Alfa Romeo is reportedly working on an all-new vehicle that will indeed make it to the North American market.

So far all we know is the body style will be a sedan and there will be three engine choices available.

The most notable is a 2.9 L V6 producing a whopping 480 horses. It is a detuned version of the 3.0 L V6 found in some Maserati models. Two turbochargers are expected to provide the boost.

The other two, expected to be the volume sellers, are a 2.0 L turbocharged 4-cylinder and  a 2.2 L turbodiesel. The former is expected to make as much as 300 horsepower and the latter as much as 201 horsepower.

This new yet-to-be-named sedan will be the third model to debut in North America since Alfa Romeo left our market back in 1995. The two other models were the 8C Competizione and the 4C, which is currently on sale.
