Volvo is going through a re-branding of sorts starting with a new design language which it has shown through the Concept Coupe last summer and now they’re showing it again with a new coupe: the Concept XC Coupe.
Even though it is still a concept, Volvo has clearly realized that perhaps there may be a market for premium off-road coupes as Land Rover is seeing lots of success with its Evoque coupe.
What’s more telling is the fact that the first two Volvo concepts in recent memory are both coupes. That goes to show just how much of an image re-brand Volvo intends on completing.
Further, these two concepts provide an indication of what future production models will look like. The first expected to bow with the new design language will be the ancient XC90.
There are no further details on this concept but some sort of hybrid power train is likely along with horsepower figures in the 300 range perhaps just like the Concept Coupe.
