Now that Subaru has unveiled the car we’ve all been waiting for in the form of the 2015 Impreza WRX STi, the Japanese brand is now focusing its performance credentials to another member of its line up.
Subaru released a teaser pic of the upcoming Forester STi, which is due to make its official debut in a few weeks. There is no information available just yet so we don’t know if the STI will just get some visual and suspension upgrades or if there will indeed be a boost in power.
As it stands right now, the most powerful Forester makes 250 horsepower. The Impreza WRX STi makes 305 horses, so one would expect power to come in between that range, if indeed there is a power upgrade. It likely won’t be anywhere near the 305 horsepower because the Impreza STi is their halo car and making something as good as your halo car is a bit of a social no-no, especially amongst die-hard Subie fans.
