Back in October, a few Nissan salesmen had reported that Nissan was touring dealerships and brought along their sub-compact Micra to show. That was a not-so-subtle hint that dealerships should likely familiarize themselves with the new product because it would be sold here eventually.
Nissan just confirmed at a media event in Montreal, Christian Meunier, president of Nissan Canada, announced that the Nissan Micra will return to Canada this year.
“After 21 years, the Nissan Micra is returning to Canada to change the automotive landscape,” said Christian Meunier, President, Nissan Canada. “Micra will provide Canadians with the unbeatable value, Japanese quality, European bold styling and fun driving experience that they deserve in a small car.”
Nissan also mentioned that their Micra offering would be exclusive to the Canadian market.
More details will be revealed at the Montreal auto show on January 16th.
