Oh Mini. Despite being shut down by Porsche after challenging them to a race and despite upping the ante for the winner, Mini is still digging at Porsche’s heels. Mini is apparently feeling very confident in the Cooper S’s capabilities.

They have just created a Rocky-esque training video where we see a red Mini Cooper S training for the big race, with a pic of the Carrera S on the mirror as a reminder and as a drive (excuse the pun) to push itself for training. We also see a red Carrera S training for the race (as if Porsche has actually agreed to it). All this takes place with awesome 80′s music in the background.  Near the end of the video the Mini is driving up a steep dirt road hill and when it finally gets to the top it lays on the horn in triumph. It’s pretty hilarious. The marketing department at Mini is among the best in my opinion.
