Mini Re-Challenges Porsche
Posted on June 14th, 2010 No commentsMini is obviously smelling much promotional success with their challenge to race Porsche. Either they are really confident that they will win, or more likely, they want to continue to ride the promotional train.
Jim McDowell, CEO of Mini USA, has just re-challenged Porsche via a homemade video to a race on June 21st. Porsche claimed it didn’t race for fame and would only to it if more was at stake than “t-shirts and parking spaces”. So, McDowell upped the ante.
Now at stake is two Justin Beiber tickets including backstage passes, a lifetime membership to the Salami Of The Month Club and a slightly used gym set. Obviously Mini hasn’t lost their sense of humour about the situation.
I’m willing to bet that Porsche actually won’t respond to this one, but if they do, I hope it’s with their 911 Carrera S!
